Ask anybody about an remedy acne and they are most likely to mention is benzoyl peroxide. N matter whether it’s by name or by product because, when it comes to the over-the-counter market, this is benzoyl peroxide which is the most common of the active ingredients in the popular cleansers, lotions and gels. As the over-the-counter boom in treatments for acne began, the race has been on to find the cheapest way of solving the problem. The power of the condition to inflict a nightmare on even the toughest mind, many parents have been desperate to find a cure. If the most effective is also the cheapest, this is a big bonus, of course.
The fact is that propionibacteria acnes (the bacteria causing acne) cannot exist in an environment where there’s too much oxygen. so, under normal circumstances, this bacteria is no problem. Living on the skin and in the pores which are fully exposed to the air, they never grow to be a real threat. But from the moment excess oil fills the pores and the dead cells are trapped inside, the environment become anaerobic or oxygen poor. This is the ideal environment for explosive growth. Benzoyl peroxide is the perfect counter because it opens the pores and allows more oxygen to enter. There’s no need to pay extra and buy a packaged product. The basic “chemical” as a lotion of about 2.5% usually works best. Anything stronger can irritate the skin. If you prefer, you can start off at a lower strength and then move up to 2.5% if the first results are disappointing after the first two weeks.
The easiest and good approach is cleansing the whole face twice a day. Without dabbing the lotion on the spots spread a thin layer over all skin. This removes the dead skin and acts as a spot preventer across all the skin cleaned. As benzoyl peroxide is a bleach, be accurate to not get it on your clothes or a towel. If you wish to clean the skin on your shoulders or back, the best is perhaps to wear an old T-shirt unless you are confident you have removed all of it before you dress. When going to bed at night after using the benzoyl peroxide, it might also bleach your pillow and sheets. , Also a good idea to apply a moisturizer after application – to prevent your skin from drying out. This kind of question can land you in trouble so, before we go any further, let’s start with an explanation. Because of the functional difference between men and women, it’s fairly easy to see whether a man is sexually excited. For the expectant and cooperative partner, the real test whether the erection is sufficiently hard to penetrate. If not, all those expectations are dashed in a wave of frustration (usually on both sides). But when it comes to women, there are less obvious signs of excitement. Some extra lubrication, perhaps a hardening of the nipples. Without the equivalent of an erection to signal readiness, women tend to be cast in the role of the passive partner.
For both men and women, the common factor is libido or the lack of it. In theory, this is the basic human drive to procreate. Put most animals of the same species together and, sooner or later, both will mate. It’s genetically built into species that the strongest will survive through their “offspring”. This gives all animals, including humans, an appetite for sex. The fact we might be thinking animals and can talk our way into and out of enthusiasm for any activity, does not change the basic drive to engage in sex. After all, our bodies reward us by making it so enjoyable. This reality of enjoyment can, however, be lost. People who are seriously stressed or depressed tend to lose interest in sex. Others, even though not depressed, also seem to have a weak libido producing poor performance in intimate situations. In psychology, this can be because of body image problems like obesity, or because of traumatic sexual experiences as children. But, in physical terms, it can be evidence of a disease of the thyroid, low levels of hormones or other measurable disorders. It can equally be something simple like loss of sleep or problems in the relationship. Read the rest of this entry »
Thinking about all the different things able to affect your hair, it turns to be a little scary list. Apart from genetic influence of parents and the role of hormones, stress also matters a lot, as well as poor diet. sometimes hair loss as a side effect of a medicine we take. The most common of the hair loss causes is. curiously, poor diet. It’ s all when you eat on the run, grab a burger or sandwich at a stall. Thought we all know the theory of eating a balanced meal, every day it never seems to work out. So what can we do?
Not getting too technical about it, a hair is made up of protein fibers – imagine filaments of keratin in a rope bound together to give flexibility and the final structure. Usually hair draws what it’s necessary for healthy growth from the food we eat – a combination of proteins, vitamins, and minerals. But in case of a shortage, the usual shine of the hair disappears and when we expect it the less it can go limp. If this continues, the longer hairs can break and some will fall out. In other words, you will keep more hair if you eat a balanced diet.
In the cycle of growth, resting, shedding and regrowth, our hairs should shed evenly over the scalp and then regrow. This neables smooth coverage without any thin or bald patches. As a reminder, we are designed to lose about 100 hairs a day. If hair does come out in clumps this is a symptom of several possible problems like a fungal infection. A doctor will be able to tell you what the problem is. Depending on the cause of your hair loss, you’ll be advised appropriate treatment.
It’s similar to not eating a healthy diet. You need just a few changes to bring the look of your hair back up to its shiny best. Apart from a hectic lifestyle, what else can affect diet? The most common is crash dieting to lose weight. The more protein you cut out, the worse the damage to your hair. If you keep it up for any length of time, hair fall will increase. So what should you eat? We start with all kinds of meat, fish and eggs. As a vegetarian, you should either find alternative foods including wholegrain products, dairy products and fresh nuts, or take supplements. Generally, everyone needs vitamins B and C and trace metals like iron and zinc. Read the rest of this entry »
Among the spineless liberals, there’s always worry about the number of people walking around with guns. Thank God for the NRA being in support of the right of all citizens being allowed to be armed to the teeth just in case there’s a call to join a militia. We can all sleep safer in our beds. And as a perfect example of how to approach problem-solving with the help of a gun, we can’t do better than travel over to Michigan. So here comes the facts. Kathy lost her job. It was nothing exciting. Just disposing of hazardous waste. Then, about a month ago, one of her dogs took her by surprise and, with an unexpected lunge, seriously damaged her shoulder. There was just one problem. With the loss of her job, she had lost her health insurance. So what does a practical woman do when she can’t afford the treatment and she’s in severe pain?
Well, Kathy was staying with her in-laws and, as is the way of folk in small towns, they were the proud owners of some guns. As Kathy put it, the emergency room needs to see a life-threatening situation, so she decided to give them one. With impressive bravery, she took a gun and shot herself in her already injured shoulder. When the deed was done, her mother-in-law called in a shooting and the ambulance came. As she was spirited off to hospital, the police joined up the dots and concluded a self-inflicted wound. Read the rest of this entry »
